Partnership With Artist JT Daniels Celebrates Teachers Post-Pandemic

This mural was created as a way to pay homage and to honor Kansas City teachers, who have adjusted a great deal during the Covid 19 pandemic to educate their students and create a sense of normalcy for their students families. It's a collaboration with School Smart Kansas City and muralist, JT Daniels.

The characters in this mural are, for me, a personal reminder that the people we become are because of our teachers.

Working in collaboration with School Smart KC provided me direct access to students, where I was able to glean from them lessons they’ve learned from some of their favorite educators that were then used as points of inspiration for details in the mural.
