In celebration of the 1 millionth ride on the KC Streetcar, I participated in the huge street party by adding in my own sense of flavor and love for KC with a painting that I created Live during the event. I essentially had between 5pm-8pm to complete one canvas and to start another. In spite of the odds, I was able to complete the first canvas and to create a loose painting on the 2nd canvas. Both pieces were based on the street car and all of the sites, street names and people one might encounter while riding the streetcar.
Each painting's palette is strictly blue & white due to trying to adhere to the streetcar's logo colors (for association.)
The first painting is based on the hustle and bustle of downtown.
The second painting was a response to the idea of people falling in love with the streetcar after their first ride.
Each painting is 30in x 40in.
